Did Anyone Care
Last week what many people say the best hitting catcher of all time retired from baseball. A model of consistency as far as hitting throughout most of his career Mike Piazza retired at the age of 39 with little to no fanfare. He did not want much to be made about it or said, as he wanted to leave the game quietly, unlike a former All-Pro quarterback. He played the game as he led his life, quietly and professionally. So, I guess in essence he went out on his terms and will surely be seen in Cooperstown sooner than some of those who had more popularity because of his positive credibility.
