After what many considered to be a stellar offseason for the Detroit Tigers in which the acquired an all-star pitcher and third basemen, not very much seems to be going right.  Recently they released another one of their newly acquired players in outfielder Jacque Jones.  He was a free agent signing to start in the outfield, but much like most of the Tigers, he was having trouble hitting.  Of course, their pitching has not fared much better either.  Currently carrying a losing record and with no relief in sight many have to wonder if the Tigers will even make the playoffs much less win the World Series as many predicted.
